Mandeep Chatha-Homer has been appointed to serve on the Paris ISD School Board of Trustees, filling the Place 4 vacancy formerly held by Mihir Pankaj.
Mrs. Homer was appointed to the Board of Trustees at a regular meeting on June 21, 2021, and will serve until the next regular election in May 2022.
“I am so honored to have been asked to step in for the remainder of Mihir’s current term. Paris ISD has an excellent academic reputation, and I look forward to enhancing that in the future,” Homer said. “I’m excited about the opportunity to serve alongside the administration to support our students, faculty, and staff in any way that I can.”
Mihir Pankaj could not fulfill his term due to a conflict of interest in his newly elected office to the Paris City Council.
“It has been a pleasure working with Mihir this past year. He will be a great addition to the Council for the City of Paris,” Superintendent Paul Jones said. “I am looking forward to working with Mandeep.”
