Around 1:50 a.m. Saturday, March 30th, Paris Police observed a motorcycle traveling 76 mph on a 30 mph zone in the 700 block of S Main St.

“The officer attempted to stop the vehicle and after several turns, the driver stopped and was identified as 26-year-old Landon Edward Smith, of Paris,” said Officer Curtis Garrett.

Smith was arrested and charged with evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, reckless driving, fail to display a license tag on the vehicle, and no motorcycle operators license.
