A 28-year-old man on Thursday appeared for a court hearing at the Hunt County Court at Law for a misdemeanor charge, however the man allegedly fled from the courtroom shortly after being made aware of outstanding felony arrest warrants.
Jakeiston Markeist Morris appeared for the court hearing for a misdemeanor charge, and the court bailiff was notified Morris may have outstanding felony arrest warrants, in which Morris then fled from the courtroom.
The bailiff notified Courthouse Security, but by that time Morris made it to the front doors and had exited the building.
Morris was last seen on Pickett Street in Greenville.
Morris is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing in at about 190 pounds, and has outstanding felony warrants for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 >=4G < 200G.
Hunt County Sheriff Terry Jones has reached out to two Federal Fugitive Task Force agencies for assistance in apprehending this fugitive.
The individual is considered dangerous, and it is not recommended to apprehend nor approach him.
