A portion of Highway 271 S. was shut down for several hours early Sunday morning after a major vehicle accident left one person deceased.
Bryson Stee, 19 of Scroggins, Texas, was driving southbound on US-271 when his 1999 Dodge 2500 crossed the center lane divider – according to Texas DPS’ preliminary investigation – striking the left, front area of a 2010 Ford Focus, driven by 24-year-old Virginia Raney.
Stee was transported to Paris Regional Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries. Raney was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Texas DPS Communications Officer, the investigation is ongoing, and no other information is available at this time.
