Local firefighters respond to a different call for help

We’ve all heard the sirens and watched as the lights of a big engine truck pass by on the way to help someone in need. But, just this week, local firefighters with the Paris Fire Department helped someone else a little different.

Earlier this week, the local fire department was visited by someone from the public who couldn’t care for a 5-week old puppy. The crew said that although this person had tried to drop the puppy off at the local shelter, they were unable to as the shelter was closed.

Thus, they dropped off the pup, affectionately known as LJ by the boys, at the fire department as a last resort. The person said they didn’t know where else to go and was unable to care for the young pup.

The boys then took it upon themselves to ensure that the LJ was healthy and quickly scooped him up and took him to Paris Veterinary Clinic

Once there, they were able to get LJ all his shots and thoroughly checked by the local vet to which he was given the all-clear. Even more surprising, the clinic didn’t charge for the services to which the boys were surprised and grateful for.

The boys aren’t sure where LJ will end up, but until he finds his fur-ever home, they are more than happy to care for him.
