New Life Christian Church, (Iglesia Cristiana Nueva Vida), located at 1828 Bonham Street in Paris, has opened their doors to help the families of those affected by the ICE raid at Load Trail on Tuesday.

“It is in difficult times that you know your friends and family. Let us love each other and take this opportunity to help your neighbor,” said Pastor Carlos.

More than 100 employees were detained during the raid leaving many families without caregivers to provide for them according to Pastor Carlos.

Many locals donated items to the church yesterday and today they’ll be taking donations again from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

In a video posted to Facebook (in both Spanish and English), Pastor Carlos said they need food, beans, rice, water, diapers, toilet paper, toothpaste…all the essentials to help the families affected.

“May God bless our wonderful community. We’ve had an awesome response. Thank you again.”

Es en los momentos difíciles cuando se conocen los amigos y los hermanos. Amemos unos a otros y toma esta oportunidad para ayudar a tu prójimo cómo Cristo nos lo pidió.
