A Lamar County man remains in critical condition after a vehicle wreck in Fannin County on Friday that shut down SH 121 for more than six hours.
Around 8:20 a.m., first responders in Fannin County were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on SH 121 involving two semi-trucks. Trenton TX Fire Rescue said both drivers were flown to a metroplex trauma center with serious injures.
One of the drivers, Lamar County resident Michael Gibson, who has been driving semi’s for more than 35-years and never been involved in a wreck until now, remains in ICU in critical condition.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family as Gibson recovers which doctors are saying will take more than six months.
According to Trenton FD, the other driver was released Friday afternoon.
