Kenneth Lovon Wedgeworth, Jr., age 62, of Detroit, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 in Paris, Texas. Cremation is under the direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. No services are planned at this time.
Kenneth was born August 25, 1959 in Houston, Texas to Kenneth Lovon, Sr. and Dorothy Lee Holt Wedgeworth. He was a machinist with Dresser Industries and later for T&K Machine Shop in Paris. He was known as a jokester even with the gruff exterior that hid his sweet, tender heart.
He was deeply loved by those around him. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Pete Elliott, and a sister, Dorothy Elliott. He is survived by his wife, Janetta DeShazo of the home; step-children, Kira Dyess and Adam Dyess, both of Cypress, Texas; grandchild, Brenlyn Dyess; brothers, Hugh Wedgeworth and wife Diane of Cut and Shoot, TX and Charles Wayne Elliott, Sr. and wife Celeste of Oden, AR; sister, Barbara Lynn King of Tyler, TX; as well as other extended family members.
