Kelly Michelle Brown, born on October 14, 1969, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and fairness. She is survived by her mother, Mary Ellen Brown; her sister, Kilee Savannah Jo Woods; Kilee’s fiancé, Harley Adams; and Kilee’s two children, Kynnedi Ranae Allen and Justin Woods Jr. Kelly is also survived by her dear uncles, David Clay Finley, Glenn Finley and his significant other Susie, Steve Finley and his wife Betsy, as well as numerous cousins and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Kelly was preceded in death by her father, Robert Andrews Brown, her long-time boyfriend, Chuck Hanes, and both of her grandmothers, who were greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
A beloved hairdresser in the Paris area for nearly 27 years, Kelly poured her heart into her work, building lasting relationships with her clients and finding joy in making others feel special. Kelly was known for her carefree, loving nature and her unwavering sense of fairness—those who knew her knew she was a true representation of the scales, always seeking balance and harmony in her life and the lives of those around her.
Kelly attended one year of college at Carroll College in Waukesha, WI, and also spent a couple of semesters at the Milwaukee Art Institute. She was an accomplished artist and singer with a deep passion for both. She later attended massage school in Dallas, TX, before completing her Cosmetology license at Toni and Guy Beauty Institute, which led to a fulfilling career in the beauty industry.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the many family members and friends who have stepped in and offered support during this difficult time. They also wish to extend their gratitude to the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church community for their love and continued support.
A time for family and friends to gather and celebrate Kelly’s life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 4-6 p.m. at Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
Kelly’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her love will never be forgotten. She will be missed terribly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Kelly’s most important thing in life was family, and she was one of the most important things in ours.
