Keep Paris Beautiful, the City of Paris and the United Way of Lamar County are partnering on a “Fall Sweep” to be held on Saturday, November 4th from 8am -11am.
Breakfast will be provided by the Credit Union of Texas at the Oak Park pavilion in west Paris.
Volunteers are needed to mow, rake, bag leaves, move small brush and sweep driveways and sidewalks.
Julia Trigg Crawford, Executive Director of Keep Paris Beautiful, explains “Partnerships are key to bringing about positive change. Keep Paris Beautiful is proud to link arms with so many great organizations for this Fall Sweep. Whether you’re a business, church, school or professional organization, we hope you’ll step up as volunteers to make this Fall Sweep another successful community event.”
City of Paris Mayor Pro Tem Mihir Pankaj adds, “The City of Paris is excited to partner with the United Way, Keep Paris Beautiful and Credit Union of Texas to put on Fall Sweep. This event is a wonderful extension of the Town Halls we’re having in West Paris to better connect with our citizens. We invite all homeowners in the target neighborhoods to register for this free service. I plan to be part of the volunteer crew, and I look forward to helping on November 4th.”
This year’s Fall Sweep Neighborhood is West Kaufman, West Austin and West Sherman streets between 19th and 25th streets.
To register your home for this FREE service, call the United Way of Lamar County at 903-784-6642 before November 2nd.
Those interested in volunteering should email keepparisbeautiful@gmail.com or call the United Way of Lamar County office.
