Julia Faye Carpenter 93, of Paris, died at 7:50 PM, Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Heritage House of Paris. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in the funeral chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Regan and Rev. Rob Spencer officiating. Private family burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Faye was born November 25, 1924 in Charleston, Texas to Jim Tom and Connie Humphrey Lentz. She graduated from Massey Business College in 1945. Mrs. Carpenter married Everett Allen Carpenter on May 13, 1945. He died July 27, 2002. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Mobil-Exxon Retirees, United Methodist Women, and the Mary Emma Bible Study Club.

Survivors include her two sons, David Allen Carpenter, MD and wife, Beverleigh and Ronald Wayne Carpenter; fourteen grandchildren, Jeffery Allen Carpenter, Scott Michael Carpenter, MD, Jay David Carpenter, DO, Destiny Grace Carpenter, Malachi Alexander Carpenter, Donesha Daniel Carpenter, Zachary John Carpenter, Bradley Berry Carpenter, Justin Carpenter, Joshua Thomas Carpenter, Chromer Alexander Carpenter, Paul Lopez Carpenter, Christopher Ryan Carpenter, and Dimitri Mandell Carpenter; twelve great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Julia Lentz O’Banion. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Billy Joe Lentz.
