James Harold Lester 78, of Sumner, died at 10:50 PM, Thursday, October 4, 2018 at his home surrounded by his five children. At Mr. Lester’s request, no services will be held. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of cremation arrangements.
James was born July 1, 1940 in Paris to Raymond “Red” and Ella May McFatridge Lester. He was retired from Campbell Soup.
Survivors include a very special lady, Dobie Lester that he still loved and she loved him; five children, Sandi Lester King and husband, Brad that cared for him the past nine years, Becky Lester Ricks, Larry Lester and wife, Jennifer Bentley Lester, Sheila Queen and husband, Kyle, and Gary Lester and wife, Misty; twelve grandchildren, Tara Gaddy, Spencer Shores, Jennifer Buck, Jason Ricks, Krystal Edwards, Robert Newman, Joey Lester, James Allen Lester, Jack Lester, Ashley Lester Myers, Kali Lester Skidmore, and Taylor Lester; his sister, Virginia Michael; and his companion, “Taz”. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Tommy Dale Ricks who died in April of 2017; a grandson, Steven Ray Lester; and the mother of his five children, Florence Lester.
