Judith Evans Seemann, age 80, resident of Oakland, Tennessee, departed this life Tuesday morning, December 17, 2024 at Pine Tree Ranch in Paris, Texas.
Judith was born March 26, 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Earl Whitman Evans and Juanita Winifred Jewell Evans. She graduated from Fayette County High School in 1962 and continued her education at United of Tennessee, then at University of New Orleans, graduating in 1968 with a major in elementary education.
Judith was employed as a kindergarten teacher at Fayette Academy, Memphis City Schools and St. Benedict at Auburndale in Cordova before her retirement. She was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Cordova where she was a member of Hope Women’s Ministry and the Small Group Study. She enjoyed reading, baking, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren.
Mrs. Seemann is survived by her husband, Robert C. Seemann; two sons, Greg Kee (Millie) of Paris, TX and Andy Kee (Jennifer) of Moscow, TN; her stepson, Robert Seemann (Dani) of Arlington, TN; her stepdaughter, DeeDee Overley (Joe) of Plano, TX; two brothers, John Schneider (Kathleen) of Portland, OR and David Ratka (Susan) of Milwaukee, WI; eleven grandchildren, Victoria Kee, Gage Kee, Amelia Kee, Evelyn Kee, Payton Kee, Scout Kee, Fisher Kee, Dylan Seemann, Cody Seemann, Campbell Overley and Maguire Overley; and two nieces, Ginny Nanney (Garrett) of Collierville, TN and Katie Satterthwaite (Eric) of Memphis, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gail Williams.
A visitation for Mrs. Seemann will be from 11 A.M. to 12 noon Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral Services will be at 12 noon Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Greg Kee of CFParis Church in Paris, Texas officiating. Interment will follow in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Scout Kee, Fisher Kee, Gage Kee, Robert Seemann, Dillon Seemann and Cody Seemann. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Overley, Campbell Overley and Maguire Overley.
