John Cashion, 77, of Paris passed away Friday February 1, 2019 at his home. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 1:00 p.m. Sunday February 3, 2019 at Red Hill Cemetery with Chaplain Mike Stone officiating. There will not be a formal visitation.

John was born September 18, 1941 in Paris a son of Johnny T. Cashion and Vera Stone Cashion. He married Karen Story on January 24, 1972 in Hugo, OK. He proudly served his country in the Army. He was active at Ft. Polk Battery C 132 Artillery and the Berlin Crisis with the 49th Armory. He still met with these groups at the Holiday Inn Express once a month. He was employed by the Paris Fire Dept. for 18 years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Gary Cashion; grandchild D.J. Risinger; and a special aunt and uncle Wilma and Roy Hargus.

He is survived by his wife Karen; children, Dale Cashion and wife Leslie, Steve Cashion and Karla, Phillip Cashion and wife Lana, Julie Risinger, Jerry Dudley and wife Charla; grandchildren John Cashion and wife Heather, Jan Campbell and husband Shawn, Stephanie Covey and husband Cody, Ryan Cashion and wife Hali, Justin Cashion, Karmon Cashion, Kayla Reed, Colton Dudley, Justin Dudley and wife Megan, Jaydon Dudley, Mark, Chris and Brian McKinnon; 22 great grandchildren; brothers Kenneth Cashion and wife Marley and Jimmy Cashion; Sisters Wanda Tharp and husband Robert, Doris Moore and Billy Merrett, and Teresa Cashion.

 

Pallbearers will be Dale Cashion, Steve Cashion, Phillip Cashion, John Cashion Ryan Cashion and Jerry Dudley.
