John Clifton Daughtrey passed from this world on June 7, 2019 after a long battle with illness.
A memorial service has been set for Monday, June 10, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
John was born in Powderly, Texas on December 3, 1925. He served in the Korean War, after the service he attended PJC then onto East Texas State. John married Betty Louise “Sue” Bell in 1953. They celebrated 65 years of marriage.
John is survived by his wife Betty “Sue”; youngest son Paul & daughter-in-law Rachel Daughtrey; as well as 5 granddaughters & 7 great-grand-children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. Daughtrey & Ethel Daughtrey, his only brother Tim Daughtrey & his oldest son James Daughtrey.
