Jerry Nell (Ham) Stout, 86, of Paris, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024, at Spring Lake Assisted Living.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Following cremation, inurnment will be made at Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom.
Jerry Nell was born on March 8, 1938 in Lamar County. She attended Reno Elementary and Blossom High School from 1944 – 1956. She met and loved LC while in high school and married him in 1956 and moved to Fort Worth. She worked and made it possible for LC to attend and graduate from college. From 1971 – 2000 she served as financial clerk for Prairiland. Children Jerry and Mitzy Stout, Cathy Stout. Devoted pastor’s wife at Bethel, Pattonville and Faith Baptist.
Survived by her husband; a son Jerry Curtiss Stout and wife Mitzy; a daughter Cathy Lea Stout; grandchildren Christen Stout, Lance and wife Sally, Brittany and husband Jamaal Johnson; great grandchildren Luke, Hudson and Hattie Stout, Timothy and Magnolia Johnson; sisters, Edwina Alexander and Juanita Arnold and husband Bill; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother J.R. and Dollie Pierce Ham; brother Ray Ham; sister, Ivy Mae Fendley and child Michael Stout.
She was a truly faithful wife, mother and servant for God.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Skidmore, John Mark Francis, Ronnie Baker, Charles Price, Buddy Taylor and Bobbie Harrell.
