Jean Lee King April 13, 1934-September 2, 2024, With a heavy heart, we must announce the passing of Jean Lee King. To her Heavenly Father she has returned, to eternal peace, with the unyielding resolve of a true believer, and the unconditional love of a mother, Heaven has gained one of our best.
Jean was born on April 13, 1934, in Blodgett, TX and died on September 2, 2024, in Paris, TX. Her final moments were spent in the loving embrace of her family. She loved the Lord above all; however, her love for her husband and family was immeasurable. She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1952 and shortly thereafter married the love of her life, Billy F. King on March 10th, 1955. Married for 69 ½ years, she supported her husband during his service in the U.S. Navy, even tutored him with his math in college, and stayed very active in the community by teaching Sunday School at church, participated in youth groups, and campaigned for Mr. King when he ran for mayor. She worked as a teacher and in sales, and eventually became the co-owner of King’s Home Care Placement Service which she operated for twenty years, 1999-2019.
Jean is survived by her husband Bill King, her three children Gary King, Kandi King, and Katherine (Craig) Hamilton. Her four grandchildren Cody (Lauren) King, Emily (Nathan) Brazzel, Zack (Sarah) Hamilton, and Eric (Robyn) Hamilton. And her eight great grandchildren Aliyah Hamilton, Mikah Hamilton, Serenity Hamilton, Amelia King, Isaiah King, Julian King, Lillian King, and Memphis Hamilton.
We will be having a celebration of Jean’s life on Saturday, September 14, 2024. Please join us at the Woodland Church Community Center – 15661 FM 195 Bagwell, Texas 75412 at 3:00 PM. Jean’s life verse – “Glory belongs to God, whose power is at work in us, by this power at work in us He can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine.” Ephesians 3:20.
Go now, through heaven’s gate, go now and meet your fate, soon we’ll see you again, and for another time we’ll hold your hand…
