‘In God We Trust’ required to be displayed in all Louisiana public schools by law

As students in Louisiana go back to school, they will be greeted by the United States motto  “In God We Trust” and if they’re not, then the schools will be breaking Louisiana state law.

Gov. John Bel Edwards signed Louisiana Senate Bill 244 into law in May 2018. The bill passed the state House of Representatives and Senate unanimously.

The bill also requires the schools to teach students about the motto.

Louisiana joins South Dakota as the latest state that has legislated the display of the motto.

Do you think all Texas schools should be required to do the same?
