Imogene “Gene” Sullivan Tucker 91, of Powderly, died Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Heritage House of Paris. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Long Cemetery with Rev. Rob Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday under the pavilion at the cemetery. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Gene was born December 21, 1926, in Norphlet, Arkansas to Walter Van Dyke and Willie Estelle Sisson Sullivan. Mrs. Tucker attended school at Broadway. She married Jessie Edward “Ed” Tucker on February 23, 1946, in Powderly. He died on November 1, 1997. She was a homemaker and member of Bounds Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two daughters, Twalla Mullens and husband, Jimmy and Stacy Miller and friend, Rusty Sharrock; four grandchildren, Millie Mullens, Jessica Nation Holtman, Chase Nation, and Atticus Miller; two great-grandchildren, Macy Camille and Gracie Holtman; one brother, James Sullivan and wife, Glenda; one sister, Frances Kerr and husband, Jay; a brother-in-law, Billy Kee; a sister-in-law, Mary Tucker; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert G. Sullivan, Carl Sullivan, and Kenneth Ray Sullivan; and three sisters, Midge Lindsey, Betty Brown, and Joyce McDonald.

Honorary pallbearers are Chase Nation, Gary Holtman, Allen Sullivan, Robert Darrell Sullivan, Rusty Sharrock, and Ted Henderson.
