A federal court has found a Hugo man, who was accused of his wife’s stabbing death in May 2020, guilty of second-degree murder.
Jeffrey Lyn Pierce, 73 of Hugo, was charged in federal court for the death of Ronnie Ranea Fitzpatrick-Pierce. During the investigation, Pierce claimed he stabbed Ronnie in self-defense, saying she pulled a gun on him during a fight.
The OSBI stated Pierce’s actions were deemed unjustified.
According to the medical examiner, Ronnie had more than 60 “sharp force injuries” throughout her body – four wounds on her neck.
No sentence has been set at this time.
