A homeownership eligibility event is being held at CitySquare Paris this Saturday, Jan. 6 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Paris-based Cultiv8Community and CitySquare Paris will be joined by BCL of Texas, a HUD-certified housing counseling agency, in taking applications for a new down-payment assistance program of up to $15,000 from Cultiv8Community.
“Attend the free Cultiv8 homebuyer event and see if you qualify for a (up to) $15,000 down payment assistance grant to help you buy a home in Paris, Texas,” said event organizers. “At the event, you’ll learn the steps required for homeownership and what you can do next. You’ll walk in with a possibility and out with a plan.”
Those attending are encouraged to bring with you a copy of paystubs for last 60 days, copy of last 2 years W2s, copy of ID, copy of last 60-days of bank statements (all pages even if blank).
“Besides information on the grants, we can check credit, begin mortgage applications (Liberty National Bank will have a presence), sign up attendees for homebuyer education classes and/or counseling sessions and we will offer a free on-site Homeownership education workshop. Cultiv8Community will offer a home for sale soon at an affordable price with more to follow in 2024.”
