A “GUNGO” benefit for five-year old Tobias Gonzales, who is battling leukemia, will be held on July 15 with 20 handguns, rifles, and shotguns up for grabs.
The Reno Police Department Honorary Sergeant has had a difficult battle against leukemia over the past year and recently the family received the devastating news the leukemia had mutated around the CAR T-cells and his leukemia.
The family doesn’t know how much longer Tobi will be in hospital but with his mother by his side and father caring for their other children while working, the family needs all the help they can get as insurance doesn’t cover everyday expenses.
Lamar County Adopt-A-Cop and Texas 2A “MAN’tique have joined force to host GUNGO (not bingo) to raise money for the family.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to the family.
GUNGO will be held on July 15 beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Red River Valley Fair Grounds.
There will be 20 games and tickets are 100 per person. Table sponsorships are available.
For those who can’t make the event but want to help the family, a GoFundMe has been set up – click here
