Candidate for Texas Governor, Chad Prather, is set to speak at the Love Civic Center on Jan. 13 as part of the Texas First Election Series hosted by Lamar County Conservatives and brought to the area by the Texas Freedom Coalition, who will be opening and closing the event.
Prather, who started doing videos from his truck in 2013 “musing on pop culture topics from politics and family to whatever inspires him on that day” which later went viral, announced his intentions to run for Texas Governor in 2020.
He released his platform in June 2021, stating, “I support funding and completing the border wall in southern Texas. As governor, I would offer my full support to ICE agents in reducing immigration into Texas, and ensuring higher wages for Texas citizens.”
Prather also included “pro-life”, “pro-gun”, and promised to “defend First Amendment speech rights against those in academia, big tech media organizations and politics who seek to silence conservatives” on his weekly podcast on Blaze Radio Network. (Source: Wikipedia)
On his website, prather2022.com, it reads, “Prather believes the great state of Texas should be a leader in the US and number one across all categories. Unfortunately Texas is no longer the Texas that most Texans think it is. He believes that trend must change by putting Texas FIRST,”
The Texas First Election Series with Chad Prather at the Love Civic Center, 2025 S. Collegiate Drive in Paris, will start at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 13 and is free to the public.
