George Strait tips his hat to policemen and women on his reflective new song, “The Weight of the Badge.”
The King of Country Music sings of the risks and responsibilities in new song paying tribute to a Policeman.
Co-written by Strait, his son Bubba and their longtime songwriting partner Dean Dillion, “The Weight of the Badge” follows recent Strait releases “Every Little Honky Tonk Bar” and “God and Country Music” from Honky Tonk Time Machine, out March 29th.
The song appears on Strait’s forthcoming album Honky Tonk Time Machine.
