A silent auction and gun raffle is set for Saturday, Oct. 15, at Deport Elementary School’s Gym to benefit Larry Smith, a local man battling stage 4 cancer.
Two guns are being raffled off, and tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. The rifles being raffled are a Ruger 26925 American 6.5 Creedmoor Caliber with 3+1 capacity, 22” barrel burnt bronze cerakote metal finish and GoWild camo I-M brush synthetic stock right hand; the other rifle is a Radical Firearms 6.5 Grendel. Participants must be 18 year old or older to purchase a ticket.
There will also be hot dogs available during the 4-6 p.m. silent auction, and the gun raffle drawing will be at 6 p.m.
