“It’s time for us to close this chapter of Paris Glam,” boutique owner, Ashley Babb, announced recently on her blog page.

“Hey there, friend. If you’re reading this, I am assuming it is because you’ve heard ‘the news.’ Well, it’s true. Heath and I have decided to take a leap of faith and trust in the Lord and close this chapter of Paris Glam,” she wrote.

Babb purchased the local boutique in January of 2012 and has since created a store that local women have come to love when shopping for that new outfit for any occasion.

And although she expresses her love for the boutique and her graciousness for an abundance of blessings, there was something that needed to change.

The announcement came on Nov 25, when Babb took to her blog, explaining her reasons for this next chapter for herself, her family, and Paris Glam.

“This week, as we moved into our new home and I began to go through some old boxes, I found my journal from 2011. In it, I found where I was praying over the decision to purchase Paris Glam. If you know me at all, you know I do NOT believe in coincidences. Earlier this year, I knew the Lord was telling me that my time with Paris Glam was done. I honestly went through all the emotions and options,” Babb explained.

In the Spring of 2016, Babb said she dedicated Paris Glam to the Lord and began to find her passion. Then she with her family began hosting bible studies, bible journaling, an annual ladies retreat, and more.

“I was becoming involved in the community through Young Life, the local chamber, and other organizations. I realized the Lord gave me a BIG heart for my community and especially for women. Something still wasn’t lining up, though. Ah-ha, it’s the name ‘Paris Glam’ it just wasn’t who I was anymore. Sure I love clothing and helping women boost their self-esteem while finding the best clothes for them, but at the same time, it wasn’t a “forever” thing for me,” she said.

Babb said that over the years, as her family grew, she never lost the love for Paris Glam but rather her priorities shifted, and the importance of family became stronger.

Having been with Paris Glam since 2006, and as the last few years her family grew, it became more pertinent that she take a leap of faith.

Bittersweet is how Babb described the emotions of taking that step towards the next chapter in her life. For years she juggled the tasks of being a wife, homemaker, mother, and entrepreneur, but now says it is about listening and being guided through faith as to what she will do next.

This chapter for Ashley and her family will close later this month.

“I’ve always been a believer of being all in no matter the project. And now, I am excited to take a step back from the hustle and be all in with my family until I get the calling to my next big venture.”

Paris Glam will open for the last time on Dec 23, from 10-5 p.m. and they will be offering 50 percent off on all inventory. Babb also wanted to invite all the customers over the years to stop in say hello and leave a note of their favorite memory from the store.
