Former Red River Valley Fair Association’s Executive Director and Executive Assistant were charged with theft of property between $2,500-$30,000, allegedly taken from the Red River Valley Fair Association in 2021.
Shortly after the fair’s beloved Rita Haynes passed away in 2021, Steven Tucker was named Executive Director and appointed his wife, Susan, as the executive assistant.
Both turned themselves into Lamar County Jail, where they were booked in at about 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 1, 2022, and released shortly after, on $15,000 bonds each.
Red River Valley Fair Association’s President/Executive Director Beverly Kinslow wished to not comment on the case at this time.
