Paris Fire Department congratulated its three recruits – Zach Beal, Austin Bush and Ryan Poole – after completing their probationary period, receiving their black helmets and donning new PFD badges.
“This is an important milestone in a firefighters career,” the department said on social media. “We appreciate their effort and willingness to serve our community. If you see them around town be sure to join us in congratulating them.”
The three completed Basic Fire Academy training in December 2019.
During an awards ceremony shortly after completing training, Beal received the Academy Fitness Award for improved fitness and the Academy Spirit Award for a positive attitude, while Poole received The Fire Academy Merit Award for overall performance during the academy.
