Students from all around the area will gather together alongside community members at Love Civic Center on Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. for this year’s Fields of Faith.
“Pastors, youth pastors, parents, teachers, coaches, friends, partner with us! Let’s come together as the church and pray for, invite, and pour into our youth!! Let’s encourage our youth to share Jesus with their friends,” Field of Faith Paris, Texas, shared on its social media. “We would love for you and your group to be a part! If you have youth that has a testimony to share, would take a stand by reading scripture, worship, or praying, please reach out.”
This student-led faith-based event has students invite, pray for, share with and challenge their peers to read the Bible and follow Jesus Christ. An athletic field provides a neutral, rally point for a community to gather together.
“It’s amazing that Fields of Faith has grown to welcome nearly a quarter of a million people to athletic fields where they can pray and worship together,” Jeff Martin, Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ executive director of ministry advancement said.
Fields of Faith welcomes members of all denominations as it is a Christ-centered and Bible-based event.
“The Bible is God’s Word and will guide you to a meaningful life if you follow it with all your heart, soul and mind, and Jesus is the only way to God.”
“We are so thankful for the students who feel passionate about sharing their faith with their fellow students so they, too, can see how Christ can impact their lives,” Martin said. “There’s no doubt that God is working through these young people and will continue to do so for years to come.”
