Fay D. Henry, 89, of Justin, Tx., went to be with her Lord on May 27, 2019 in Denton, TX. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 31, 2019 in the Forest Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Hutchison officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till 7:00 PM Thursday at the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
She was born on September 5, 1929 in Chicota, Tx. a daughter of William Edward and Minnie Laura Campbell Downs. On October 30, 1954, she married Joe Franklin Henry in Ft. Worth, Tx. He preceded her in death on January 11, 1965. Mrs. Henry was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters, Jinks Howard Downs, Minnie Bell Mathews, Kent Downs and Bennie Jean Robinson.
She was a member of Forest Chapel United Methodist Church, Sons of Hermann and worked for Pier 1 Imports.
She is survived by her daughter, Patty Parrish and husband Russell of Justin; two grandchildren, Robert Stephen Creed and wife Sarah of Justin and Laura Rochelle Harbour of Ft. Worth; three great-grandchildren, Mason Creed, Madison Creed and Jackson Harbour; brothers and sisters, Sam Downs and wife Daphnia, Nancy Spiriti, Wendell Odea Downs and wife Wanda and Nickey Sain.
