A Fannin County Sheriff’s Office deputy and another motorist were taken to the hospital Tuesday night following a head-on collision at the intersection of Highway 121 and Highway 11.
According to preliminary reports, a northbound pickup crossed the center line and struck a stationary Fannin County deputy who was parked off the side of the roadway.
Fannin County Sheriff Cody Shook told KXII that the driver may have been intoxicated; however, the crash and its cause are being investigated by DPS state troopers.
The condition of both individuals is unknown.
