Shortly after 1:35 a.m., on the morning of January 12, 2024, the Delta County Sheriff’s Office received a call from an alarm company in reference to a burglary alarm at the Lambert Lumber Company in the 1800 block of W. Dallas.
A few minutes later, deputies arrived on scene and checked the outside of the building. Store management arrived on scene and allowed the deputies to enter the building to search it.
Deputies found that the suspect(s) had gained entry through a back door in the building and that several pieces of brand-new lawn care equipment were stolen. A list of all items missing has been compiled including serial numbers and they have been entered into the national database as stolen.
At this point, we have very few leads that we are following up on but are asking for the public’s help. We believe that this equipment will probably be sold online on social media outlets or through other means. The equipment brand in question is Stihl lawn equipment.
