David R. “Tippy” Parker of Paris, TX died peacefully in his sleep with his Bible in hand on Sunday, November 24th, 2024 at age 82.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 27 at 1 pm at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home in Paris.
He is remembered by many for his keen knowledge, insights, and memory, and more so for his big heart and care he gave to his close friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his father, F.R. Parker and mother, Minnie Ritchie Parker; and sister, Gloria Lassiter.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela Parker, and her children, Austin and Tyler Wyatt, by his son, Matthew Eason of California, wife, Jennifer and children, Bridget and J.R., by his brother, James R. Parker and wife, Janita of Paris, and by his sister, Meta and husband, Ed Duncan of Mansfield, Texas. He also is remembered and loved by many extended family and close friends, including the Parker and Ritchie and Lassiter families, as well as his cousin, Pat Bazzani who was like a sister to him.
Reverend Kathryn Strempke will officiate the service at Fry Gibbs Funeral Home.
