Danny Wayne Reaves, 59, of Reno, entered into the arms of his Heavenly Father Friday, April 06, 2018, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
The family has scheduled a memorial service for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 10th, at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Norris officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
Mr. Reaves, the son of Billy Dean Reaves & Patsy Jean Brooks Reaves, was born March 7, 1959, in Paris.
His career as an Environmental Technician with the City of Paris spanned from 1985 – 1998. Danny was a member of Southside Baptist Church. When his health was better he was an avid fisherman, hunter, a wonderful cook, and enjoyed the outdoors & camping.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Bradley & her husband John C. Bradley, his father, Billy Dean Reaves, his mother-in-law, Liddie Maye Pate, a brother, Rickey Reaves on Nov. 1, 2009, and a very special grandmother whom he thought of as his second mother, Nellie Brooks, affectionately known by her grandchildren as “Big Mama”.
Survivors include his wife, Leta Pate Reaves, whom he married on Nov. 27, 1985, building thirty-two years of family and memories, children, Amber Nicole Blevins & Jason Jewell of Mt. Vernon, Brennon Reaves of Reno, and Shawn Reaves of Mt. Pleasant, grandchildren; Haley Blevins & Kourtney Blevins, a brother, Larry Reaves & wife Becky of Powderly, sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law; Barbara Reaves of Reno, Candy & David Boswell of Paris, Tim Pate of Paris and Cannon Pate of Paris, his father-in-law, Nolan Pate of Paris, several nieces & nephews, his loving dog, Little Bit, along with many friends.
