The local community is rallying together to show their love and support for the Pruett family who lost their 14-year-old son, Hayden Keith Pruett to illness Saturday night at the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.

“Kayla, his mom, is a home health nurse but has been off since his diagnosis to be with him so it has been hard,” said family friend Shelly Costilow Evans.

Social media has been flooded with memories of the Rivercrest Freshman who loved and participated in sports and band.

A GoFundMe has been set up by family friends to help the family through this difficult time.

“We are trying to do all we can to allow her and the family some time to get through this and pay for the funeral etc. it has been a long battle for them and Hayden.”

Earlier today, Rivercrest ISD announced they will be releasing students at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22nd, to accommodate those who want to attend Hayden’s visitation and/or funeral.

Funeral Services have been scheduled for 5 p.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2018, in the First Baptist Church of Bogata. The Family will receive friends from 4-5 p.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will follow in Bogata Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
