Claudia M. Vickers 89, of Paris, died at 9:13 PM, Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Brentwood Terrace Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

A graveside service is set for 1:30 PM, Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Highland Cemetery with Rev. Marck Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 PM, Saturday evening at the funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Claudia was born November 3, 1929, in Red River County, Texas to L.R. and Mary Thornton Morgan. She married Jerrel Dean Vickers on January 25, 1946. He died July 21, 1991. Mrs. Vickers was the payroll officer for Corpus Christi National Bank for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Johntown Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two children, Louis Dean Vickers and wife, Betty J. of Corpus Christi and Carolyn R. Parry & husband, Johnny of Paris; four grandchildren, Natalie K. Vickers of Corpus Christi, Maj. Jeffrey D. Vickers, USMC and wife, Shelly L. stationed in Okinawa, Japan, Sandra R. Parry of McKinney, Texas, and Mark R. Parry and wife, Kimberly of Charlotte, North Carolina; six great-grandchildren, Justin A. Hall, Kara L. Hall, Tyler D. Vickers, Taylor A. Vickers, Jane Ann Parry, and Ella Caroline Parry; one brother, Leonard R. Morgan and wife, Linda of Kilgore, Texas; one sister, Marilyn McFatridge of Addison, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Thornton Cooper; her father, L.R. Morgan; one brother, Phillip Morgan; and one sister, Robbie Bankhead.
