Claude William Hall, 90, of Chicota went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 7, 2025, after a brief illness. Services will be Wednesday, February 19 at 2 pm at Chicota Baptist Church. Internment to follow at Forest Chapel Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will receive family and friends at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
Claude was born December 10, 1934 in Paris, TX. He was the son of Bill and Lucille Hall. After graduating from Chicota High School, he joined the Army National Guard and Army Reserves, Paris, TX, 49th Armored Division and served from 1953 – 1961. Soon after moving to Dallas, he met the love of his life, Pearl Bihl, who soon became his wife. On February 10, they would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary.
He served as a deacon at Chicota Baptist Church for many years. He was a
49-year-member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a 33rd degree Mason, having served as Past Master and Chaplain at Roan Oak Masonic Lodge, Garrett’s Bluff, TX. He was honored to receive the Golden Trowel Award in 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl Hall; three daughters: Sheryl Smith (Michael), Diane Nelams (Mark) and Kimberly Walker (Bruce). He had six grandchildren: Shanda Hancock (Jeff), Michael Goins (Denise), Christopher Draughon (Bonni), Garrett Walker and Gavin Walker; nine great grandchildren: Austin, Kelsey, Chandler, Rhys, Jacob, MaCayla, Zachary, Cooper and Blakeleigh and one great, great granddaughter, Kolbie. Claude is also survived by brothers Judson and Billy and sister Bertha Lois.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lucille Hall, a brother Johnny Hall and a sister Sylvia Thomas and a granddaughter Letishia Draughon.
Serving as pallbearers are Scott Hall, Garrett Walker, Gavin Walker, Mike Goins, Rhys Goins, Jacob Renfro, Christopher Draughon and Zachary Fitzpatrick. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting Fry-Gibbs.com.
