The City of Paris has released the name of the RPM Staffing employee assigned to the City of Paris Public Works Department who died on Tuesday as a result of serious injuries sustained in an accident involving a City of Paris trash truck.
“Ashton Smallwood, 18, an RPM Staffing employee assigned to the City of Paris Public Works Department, sustained serious injuries in an accident involving a City of Paris trash truck. Regrettably, Mr. Smallwood died as a result of his injuries,” said City Manager Grayson Path after verifying that proper notifications had occurred.
The accident occurred in the 1900 block of Jackson Street in Paris.
“At this time, law enforcement is continuing its investigation of the incident. The City of Paris City Council and Staff will continue to keep the family and friends in their thoughts and prayers.”
