Chisum Varsity Cheerleaders recently returned from the NCA Cheer Camp held at the Renaissance Hotel in Richardson, Texas from May 27-30.
The 15 cheerleaders, led by Captain Kennedi Ball, learned material to help them prepare for the next school year, along with team building exercises to encourage cheerleaders to take an active role as leaders of their student body.
This year, Chisum Varsity had seven cheerleaders nominated for All American. Those nominated were Zali Waldrip, Addie Daigle, Kiki Ball, Brielyn Atnip, Niveyah Graves, Emma Northam, Logan Meyer, and Chloe Brandt.
Addie Daigle was awarded the title of All American.
Along with successfully earning enough points during the All American tryouts to gain the title as an incoming freshman, Daigle also received Finalist ribbons in the Star Jumper and Star Tumbler contests.
Chisum Varsity also entered the Star Stunt competition, winning First Place for the 9th and 10th grade division.
The group consisted of Logan Meyer (backspot), Brielyn Atnip (flyer), Niveyah Graves (base), and Addie Daigle (base).
