Chisum ISD students Adamari Jimenez and Evan Martin took home awards during the K-12 National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts juried student show in Sacramento, CA.
Jimenez received an Orton Cash Prize Award and Martin received an Honorable Mention award.
The NCECA hosts the annual conference with several exhibits running with the conference. Only 150 entries were accepted out of the 900 submitted entries.

Six out of seven artworks from Chisum received gold medals, superior rating 4 – the highest rating. All students received gold medals for at least one piece of artwork.
There were 56 entries across Region 8 this year, and five out of the 56 artworks received a Platinum medal. To view the artwork which received gold medals this year, click here.

Six students are currently in a show at the Tyler Museum of Art for the 18th Annual High School Exhibition.
Tyler Museum of Art Tyler Junior College, 1300 South Mathon Avenue in Tyler from March 27-May 22 and will be available for viewing from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesday thru Saturday. The reception date is May 22 at 2 p.m.
The Chisum High School students that are exhibited in the High School Exhibition are:
