Chisum High School competed in the UIL 3A District 12 One Act Play contest on Tuesday March 10th at Quitman High School.
The selected piece this year was The Cover of Life by R.T. Robinson.
Chisum placed third out of seven and was designated as an advancing play moving on to compete in Denison on March 31st.
In addition to advancing, Kaylee Bowers received an All Star Cast Award. Carly Patterson received an honorable mention All Star Cast Award, and Teresa Zermeno received a tech award.
“I am extremely proud of the students’ efforts to produce a meaningful work of art and offer a moving experience with our play. Every role onstage and offstage is critical to the success of running a good show and our students have supported each other beautifully. We would like to thank everyone who has supported our show from Chisum ISD, parents, and our community,” said Chisum High School One Act Play Director Mario Munguia.
Participating students were Kaylee Bowers, Antaneah Burton, Anzli Chapman, Leighlyn Davis, Daniel Henry, Olivia Miles, Jade Morphew, Carly Patterson, Celesity Perry, Cade Price, Chloe Reimer, Zolee Rushin, Kamora Scott, Gracyn Whitaker, Teresa Zermeno.
