Chisum High School hosted The TAEA Region 8 VASE Art contest on Saturday, Feb. 11. Thirteen schools submitted two hundred and eighty-five artworks to be juried for the chance to earn a regional gold medal. Chisum had 31 students and 44 artworks compete, of which 23 students and 29 artworks received a regional gold medal. Six students received two medals for two artworks, and nine students received perfect scores. The rating is determined by a composite score of the artwork and student interview.
