CF Paris will be hosting a ‘First Responders Appreciation Luncheon’ the week of 9/11 to show their support for local law enforcement and to simply say “thank you”.

“There are many men and women that live within Lamar Co., who work as First Responders, not only locally, but also in areas from DFW to Texarkana, and from up into OK down to Tyler,” said Pastor Cory Jones.

Lunch will be provided for first responders each day from Monday, September 10th through the 13th from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

CF Paris decided to provided lunch every day over a four-day period to make sure to cover all shifts.

“These individuals are constantly giving up, not just their own time, but even their family time as well, to ensure that we are cared for, safe and protected. Being able to provide a lunch for them is a simple way that we knew we could say, ‘thank you!’.”

Tuesday, September 11th, 2018 marks 17 years since the tragic events of 9/11.

“While we will never forget that fateful moment and even where we were that day, unfortunately over time, we can unintentionally forget to remember the individuals who are the reason we stood tall, and that courageously gave their lives in the line of service for ours.”

“We are daily grateful for all they continually do! This lunch is a simple way for our people at cfParis, to reach out and show those individuals that we are always grateful, thankful and that We Will Remember, & Will Never Forget Them,” said Cory.

While this is an opportunity for all who call cfParis their home church to step up and show appreciation, everyone from our community is welcome to volunteer and/or be involved in showing their appreciation as well.

Food will be provided by the church.

“Our church family are an amazing bunch of people, who thoroughly enjoy showing their love and appreciation for others.”
