The cause of an early morning blaze at The Carpenter’s Woodshop, located at 30 PR 43790, remains under investigation, according to Reno Fire Department Chief Chad Graves.
Firefighters responded to the scene shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 2, 2025, finding the structure fully involved with heavy fire conditions.
“The Carpenter’s Woodshop specializes in cabinet manufacturing,” said Graves. “Firefighters immediately initiated suppression efforts but due to the lack of nearby fire hydrants and the advanced stage of the fire upon arrival, multiple mutual aid departments were requested to assist with water supply and firefighting operations.”
Through the coordinated efforts of all responding agencies, the fire was brought under control in approximately four hours and the scene was cleared at around 12:30 p.m.
No injuries were reported among citizens or firefighters. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
“The Reno Fire Department extends sincere appreciation to the following agencies for their assistance: Blossom VFD, Faught VFD, East Post Oak VFD, Powderly VFD, Lamar Point VFD, Hopewell VFD, Tigertown VFD, Paris Fire Department, Paris EMS, Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, Lamar County Emergency Management, and the CERT Team. Their swift and professional response played a vital role in containing the fire and preventing further spread.”
