A burger — well, technically a sandwich — on the other side of the world is turning heads (and stomachs) as Burger King Thailand launches its newest item, the “Real Cheeseburger.”
They aren’t wrong, it is cheese in between two buns, but with no meat and 20 slices of cheese, it’s what some are calling “a portable heart attack” on social media.
For “only” 109 Thai baht ($3.13), the bizarre new menu item surprising those brave enough to try it.
“At first I thought it was a joke, but it was actually sold to me,” said TikTok user @nutapiwich in Thai, in a video that has more than 400,000 views. A translation of the video indicates that the TikToker enjoyed the sandwich. “Pretty delicious.”
Another said, “🍅Dipping in tomato sauce adds flavor.”
Would you try the “Real Cheeseburger” if it were released in the U.S.?
