The Bonham ISD Board of Trustees last week unanimously voted to promote Assistant Principal Eric Hicks to the position of Principal at Bonham High School.
“District leaders are excited about this decision, because they believe Mr. Hicks has the ability to inspire pride and uphold the traditions of Bonham ISD.”
Mt Hicks is a proud graduate of Bonham High School, having completed his education here as a member of the Class of 2005 after attending Bonham ISD since Pre-K.
Following his graduation, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Tyler.
With 15 years experience in the educational industry, Mr Hicks has dedicated seven of those years to serving students at Bonham High School.
Before becoming the Assistant Principal, he was a professional communications teacher and coached the high school boys basketball team.
He has held the position of Assistant Principal for the past two and a half years.
“Bleed Purple has been my passion since day one and that will never change,” said Hicks. “BHS is a school that is rick with tradition and pride. I hope to be able to share my passion with our staff and students as we move forward in shaping the future.”
