Ladies, round up your girlfriends and get ready for the ultimate ‘Girls Night Out’ Thursday, September 19th at the Love Civic Center.
Earlier this year, over 500 women embarked on the Civic Center for a night of fun, playing for designer purses and prizes including several Louis Vuitton handbags.
“The response from our first event blew us away,” said vice president Laura Spencer, “we’re excited to offer this fantastic night out for women in Lamar County while raising money for a good cause.”
Proceeds from the event go towards helping the youth in the community through programs such as Healthy Smiles for second-graders, leadership development for high schoolers and even giving out dictionaries to third-graders.
“We also offer scholarships for graduating seniors who are attending our local college,”said Spencer, “all of the money that we raise goes back into our community and in investing in the next generation.”
There will be 10 rounds of bingo with 20 purses up for grabs and the grand finale round which will include a Louis Vuitton bag.
Tickets are limited to 600 and cost $50 per person. Each ticket includes 10 bingo cards, 2 drink tickets to a full bar, and full access to appetizer stations.
If you’d like to be guaranteed to sit with your girlfriends, you can reserve a table.
“Reserved half tables for five seats is $300 or 10 seats cost $600 but you’ll be guaranteed to sit with your girlfriends.”
Spencer said, due to demand, the Rotary Club of Paris United will host two events each year; one in the Spring and another in the fall.
