In Memory of Billy Joe Woods II
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Billy Joe Woods II announce his unexpected passing on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the age of 47.
Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Tracy McMikel officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6th at Butler Cemetery in Lane, OK. Billy was born to Billy Woods Sr. and Janet Woods (nee Nicholas) on April 5, 1977, in Talihina, OK. He was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation.
He was a resident of Blossom, TX. Billy was a welder at Turner Industries for many years, a graduate of Paris High School, and served his country as a Specialist in the United States Army during Operation Enduring Freedom. Billy was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Billy had a love of camping and the outdoors, especially the hills of Oklahoma where he enjoyed riding ATV’s. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed playing pool. Billy had a great love for his family and friends.
He leaves behind his wife, Tena, his special pets, Sis and Birdie, his mother, Janet A. Ringwald (Robert), sister, Jannetta Williams (Steve), and father, Billy Woods Sr. along with many loving aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and friends.
As the saying goes “Heaven gained an angel”. Billy will be missed by all who knew him.
