Billie E. (Miller) Bolton, 96, of Paris, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 12, 2024, while at Heritage House of Paris.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 2:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16th at the United Pentecostal Church with Bro. Robert Myre and Sister Donna Myre officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Billie, the daughter of John Homer Miller and Emogene Cooper Miller, was born Aug. 11, 1928, in Antlers, OK. She grew up in the Kensing Community of Delta County. On April 21, 1946, she married Kendall R. Bolton, building 57 years of family and memories before his death on Dec. 19, 2003.
Billie worked at Betners, Nahas of Texas as an inspector, Hollywood Vasarette, at the office of Dr. Don Haslam, and the last fifteen working years were spent as a greeter at Walmart.
She was a longtime, faithful member of the United Pentecostal Church where she taught Sunday School and children’s church many years. Billie was the matriarch of the Bolton Trio along with her sons, Ronny and Eddy. They traveled as the Bolton Trio for ten years from Mexico to Illinois, Mississippi, Louisiana and across the state of Texas. During this time, they recorded five albums.
In later years she was faithful to visit all the area nursing homes where she took her guitar and sang and ministered to the residents. Billie was a master seamstress, floral designer, and baker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kendall, her parents, John Homer Miller and Emogene Cooper Hubbard and her husband Curtis, a brother, Junior Miller and wife Jodie, and a sister, Laquita Green and husband Jerry.
Survivors include two sons, Ronny Bolton & wife Jo Ann and Eddy Bolton and wife Elizabeth, four grandchildren, Shane Bolton and wife Jana, Kenny Bolton and wife Jeri, Kristi English & husband Lynn, and Rhonda Newberry, eight great grandchildren, Bailey Bolton, Brandon Bolton, Ryanna McGhee and husband Coy, Sadi Fields and husband Cody, Karli Newberry, Jerron Newberry and wife Jill, Madisyn Bolton, and Parker Bolton, one great great grandchild, Harper Ellen Fields along with several nieces and nephews and a plethora of friends including her longtime friend, Ben Holland.
Casket bearers will be: Shane Bolton, Kenny Bolton, Brandon Bolton, Lynn English, Coy McGhee, and Parker Bolton.
Honorary bearers will be: Bailey Bolton, Lucas Harrison, and Jerron Newberry.
The family would like to extend appreciation to the staff at Heritage House of Paris and On Call Hospice for the care and attention given their loved one.
