On July 23rd at 10:51 PM, Beverly A. Harris left this world for her next adventure.
Bev was a loving mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
She was firm and had zero time for bad behavior or bad manners, and she was notorious for her blunt opinions. Having said that, she always made time to listen to all of us, no matter how long it took to tell our stories.
Mom was a registered nurse. She was a director of nurses many times and even taught nursing. She practiced in Dallas and Lamar County. She loved being a nurse. It was who she was at her very core.
She was stubborn, old-school in most things, a teacher, baker, mentor, and very strong spiritually. She was a ravenous reader and an avid follower of politics.
There is no way, in a few words, to describe this amazing, complicated, loving woman. She will be eternally loved and missed.
Beverly is survived by her 2 children, 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
